What We Believe

We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of the specialized calling of our movement, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.

» The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 4:12)

» God
–– There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three Manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, John 17:3, Acts 17:28, Mark 12:29, John 1:1-4, Matthew 28:19-20, Hebrews 4:13)

» Jesus Christ
–– He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is both Lord and Savior. He has all power and authority over everything in heaven and on earth. He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1, 1:14, 1:18; John 14:8-9; 1 Timothy 3:16)

» The Holy Spirit
–– The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14-16, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23, Romans 8:16, 1 Corinthians 12-14)

» Man
–– Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and as a result is now lost and separated from God. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3:3; Romans 3:10,23)

» The Devil –– Satan — He is the enemy of God and man, the author of sin, and the reason for the fall of man. He is destined to the judgment of an eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Matthew 4:1-3; Acts 5:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)

» Salvation
––The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. Salvation is the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained or made more secure by doing good things, but is freely given to all who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  All who trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts 1:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9)
